Hello! My name is Tonja Johnson, and I just received a letter for my son to be in the People to People program this summer when they go to Sydney, Australia. I’m a single mother with an income of $7.25 an hour. I recently lost my job when the company I worked for for 3yrs. sold to another company in N.C. I would hate it if my son had to miss out on a wonderful opportunity( of a lifetime) because I didn’t do everything in my power to make it happen. Can you help me or point me in the right direction? Thank You so very much for your help in this matter, Tonja Johnson

Thank you for supplying a valuable service to students and impending ones. I’m assisting my son in securing scholarships while attending West Virginia University. He is currently working on a welding certificate and associate degree in the same field. He has applied for scholarships thru AWS (American Welding Society) as well as WVU itself. He will continue his studies to obtain a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. Will you direct us to other possible scholarships? Thank you for any assistance you can lend. Happy Holidays.

    Hello,

I’m reaching out to request that our upcoming $5,000 scholarship be
included in your forum. The scholarship, “NursingHomeAbuse.net’s

particularly suited for students studying nursing,
social work, psychology, or healthcare administration. The applicant
must also be receiving some form of need-based aid. The scholarship
will help pay for non-tuition related living expenses for the
2012-2013 academic year that are not covered by the recipient’s
    current financial aid such as:

    – Rent
    – Childcare
    – Books and School Supplies
    – Utilities – Gas/Electric
    – Utilities – Internet Connection
    – Groceries

Applications must be emailed or postmarked by February 15th, 2012 to
be considered. The winner will be announced on May 31st, 2012.

Further information about the scholarship can be found at:

    Anne,

have you looked into a teach grant? See if you qualify for it; or any other assistance this website may offer. Also read about teacher scholarships and grants. They may have offerings for you to apply to. If unsure; contact them via email to see if you would fit into their guidelines before you apply.

    Hello,
Am a high school graduate from Kenya, graduated from high school in 2013. I recently received an offer letter to University of Massachusetts Lowell to do a bachelors course in electrical and computer engineering starting January for four years but am faced with a challenge of paying the tuition fees. It has been my passion to study at Umass Lowell and I finally have the opportunity but face financial challenges. I require a financial statement to prove am able to pay the tuition fees in order to secure a spot in the school but i luck a sponsor. Hope that you can help me. Thank you.

    Bryant,

unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship’s. You should go into the financial aids office at the Umass campus and discuss need based programs which can help you. They will guide you towards on what programs to apply for – which I think should be some for you. Read more on guaranteed scholarships for college. Does your government have bursaries that will help pay some of your schooling?
