The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) offers another scholarship for minorities. These minority engineering scholarships are endowed through a bequest from Gordon Batelle, who desired to increase the presence of minority professionals in the fields of mathematics, engineering, science, and technology. Candidates for this minority engineering scholarship, are high school seniors who are residents of the state of Ohio and members of the NSBE. They must be pursuing a degree in one of these fields at an accredited college or university. Applications for this $5,000 award are available online.
